New year, new projects

Happy New Year:) I'm all ready for this years new possibilities and for more fun! Just had one day in the letterpress studio on Tuesday, and just as a reminder for everyone: mistakes can be beautiful!! :)

A second reminder: please keep the studio clean! I hate it when everything is a mess and dirty. When I get my own studio it will be perfect :) Tidy and clean :)

Letterpress face

I love getting inspiration from others work. And there is so much lovely letterpress work everywhere. This is just a love project. Can't believe they did a face with type. Check out The Disciples Of Design :)

Letterpress video

I feel very lucky for knowing other with an interest in Letterpress, and most of them are very nice to share what they find with me. I really love that! This video from A Design Mafia shows a Letterpress printer using a press that works the same way as one of the ones I use. I get so inspired just by a short video like this.

Absolutely great poster

I came across this amazing and lovely poster from Studio On Fire !! The colours, the font, the size of it. Such nice work. And it is for sure printed from a plate. But it is still such a lovely piece of letterpress.

Posters from Hand & Eye Letterpress

I did a two weeks internship here as well last summer. Phil, Rosa and Nick that works there are nice people, and they all love letterpress. Together these three have made several posters which I think are amazing, really good letterpress work.

Next wishes

My new wishes of stuff I want to get my hands on (of letterpress stuff) is big wood type, but I also want to have smaller. But really really big ones would be so fun to work with. Have never had a chance to do work with bigger than 24line. Check out the link to see one example of use of big wood type. I love ilovedust <3

London Original Print Fair 2010

I went to this yesterday, never been there before (neighter at the Royal Academy of Arts or the Print Fair). It was nice to see a lot of good old prints and new made with older printing techniques. I learned a lot about how much you can take for a piece of art!

I just have to say that some people buy weird and NOT good art, and for a lot of money!! But there were many I could have consider buying if I had too much money ;)
